Setting targets
3 min readUpdated
Targets set how many orders and how much revenue a team or a colleague should bring in over a period. KeyVue spreads each target across the days of that period and compares it with what has come in up to today. That way you can see at any moment whether someone is on track.
Per team or per colleague
An agency works with targets per team or per user, not both. You choose this under Settings → General information, at "Register targets for". Depending on that choice, you'll find the targets on the team or on the user.
What a target measures
A target applies to one order type, for example Sale or Mortgage, and to one role:
- Referrer: the orders this colleague or team brought in.
- Assignee: the orders assigned to this colleague or team.
You enter a number, a revenue amount or both. KeyVue counts the orders with a production date inside the period. An order without a production date doesn't count. So targets work with the orders module: KeyVue counts orders, not leads.
You choose the period
You set From and Until for each target. So you can work per month, quarter or year, or allow for seasons with a higher target in spring. If two targets for the same type and role overlap, they add up. If someone starts halfway through the year, start their target on their first day.
Where targets show up
- Dashboard: the block "My targets" or "Team targets" shows the number and the revenue from 1 January up to today. The "to be achieved (YTD)" figures are the part of the target that should have been reached by today, not the full year. The percentage can go above 100%.
- Sales report: per month, green bars show what was achieved and a grey line shows the target. For the selected period, a half circle shows what was achieved and what is still to go, with a percentage. If there's no grey part left but there is a percentage, the target has been reached. If there's no percentage, no target has been set for that selection.
If your agency sets targets per colleague, the grey line disappears when you filter on one team, and the other way round.
Adding a target
- Go to Settings → Users or Settings → Teams.
- Click the name of the colleague or team.
- Scroll to the Targets block and click Add new target.
- Fill in From and Until, choose the order type and the role, and enter the number or the revenue.
- Click Create.
To change or delete a target, use the three dots next to it. Only company managers see Settings.
